Support children and families through service

Volunteers help Yeshua & Kids Care Foundation support children and families through education, wellness education, emotional empowerment and community outreach.

You do not need to be available every day. Volunteer opportunities depend on current programs, upcoming projects, location, skills, safeguarding requirements and available supervision.

Volunteer opportunities

Educational support

Volunteers may help with:

• Organizing learning materials.

• Supporting reading or learning activities.

• Preparing educational resources.

• Assisting with supervised after-school or community learning activities.

• Helping with event setup and coordination.

Health and wellness education

Volunteers may help with:

• Preparing wellness-education materials.

• Supporting event registration and logistics.

• Distributing approved hygiene resources.

• Directing participants to qualified health professionals or project staff.

• Supporting refreshments, transport and general event organization.

Volunteers do not diagnose, treat or provide medical advice.

Emotional empowerment

Volunteers may help with:

• Supervised group activities.

• Storytelling and creative activities.

• Mentoring support within an approved role.

• Confidence-building activities.

• Event preparation and coordination.

Volunteers must not provide professional counselling or mental-health treatment unless they are appropriately qualified and formally engaged for that role.

Community outreach

Volunteers may help with:

• Preparing care packages.

• Distributing approved supplies.

• Supporting community events.

• Assisting with registration and attendance.

• Helping communicate with community partners.

• Supporting event setup, cleanup and logistics.

Who can volunteer?

We welcome enquiries and applications from people who:

• Respect children and families.

• Support the Foundation’s mission and values.

• Communicate responsibly and respectfully.

• Can follow instructions and agreed volunteer roles.

• Are willing to follow safeguarding and privacy procedures.

• Can provide reliable contact information.

• Are available for the agreed activity or assignment.

Some roles may require specific skills, professional qualifications, references, screening, training or additional supervision.

Child safeguarding

The safety, dignity and wellbeing of children are central to our work.

All volunteers who interact with children are expected to:

• Follow the Foundation’s safeguarding procedures.

• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

• Avoid being alone with a child unless specifically authorized.

• Never use abusive, threatening, humiliating or discriminatory language.

• Never photograph, record or publish a child’s image or personal information without proper permission.

• Keep information about children and families confidential.

• Report safeguarding concerns promptly to the designated Foundation contact.

• Follow the instructions of the project supervisor or safeguarding lead.

*Volunteers who do not follow these requirements may be removed from the activity or volunteer program.*

Volunteer process

Our volunteer process usually involves:

1. Sending an expression of interest.

2. Providing basic information about your skills, availability and preferred role.

3. Discussing the current volunteer needs.

4. Completing any required screening, references or checks.

5. Receiving role-specific instructions or orientation.

6. Agreeing to follow the Foundation’s safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.

7. Participating under the direction of an approved project supervisor.

Volunteer opportunities are unpaid unless a separate written arrangement states otherwise. Reasonable expenses, transport support or materials may be available for specific activities, subject to prior approval and available funding.

Yeshua & Kids Care Foundation reserves the right to decide whether a volunteer role is suitable for a particular activity. All volunteer involvement is subject to the Foundation’s mission, safeguarding procedures, available supervision and project requirements.
